Dr. Jawar Singh is currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna, INDIA. He received Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Bristol, Bristol, UK. He obtained M.Tech degree from Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Roorkee, INDIA. His research interest includes low power Integrated Circuits, embedded systems and RF energy harvesting. Dr Singh holds two US patents related to computer memories and recipient of prestigious Indo-US fellowship BHAVAN 2016. Dr Singh has 30 international journal publications, 40 conference publications, two book chapters and one full book from Springer. His ongoing research is funded by Government of India (Department of Science and Technology, DST, and Ministry of Electronics and IT, Meity, New Delhi, INDIA). He was the visiting researcher at the Pennsylvania State University, USA, 2009, and the University of North Texas, USA, 2016, each for six months. Dr Singh is a Senior Member IEEE, an Associate Editor (2015-19) of IET Electronics Letters and IEEE VLSI Circuits and Systems Letters. Dr Singh has supervised four PhDs and 21 M.Tech dissertations.
Prof. (Dr.) Ghanshyam Singh, a recipient of Distinguished Lecturer Award from IEEE Photonics Society for term 2017-18, received B. Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from NIT Silchar (then REC Silchar), M. Tech. and PhD degrees in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur. In early 1999, he joined the academic staff of MNIT Jaipur, where he is a Professor with the Department of EC Engineering. Prof. Singh had also worked as visiting researcher/visiting Professor for various periods with the Department of Physics, Herriot Watt University, Edinburgh, UK (March 2009), the Institute of Photonics, University of Eastern Finland, Joensuu, Finland (January – June 2010) under the CIMO Fellowship (Govt. of Finland) and the Department of EEE, Keio University, Hiyoshi Campus, Japan (October 2013). Prof. Singh has extensive teaching, research and sponsored R&D experience (for various funding agencies from India and abroad) on many aspects of Optical Communication and Photonics Engineering and has published/reported over 125 research papers/review articles in peer reviewed International journals/ conferences. He had delivered invited/expert talks on related research topics in India and abroad (including the Germany, Finland, UK, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Ukraine, Belarus, China, Australia, Malaysia, Poland, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and USA). Prof. Singh is a senior member of OSA, IEEE and Fellow of OSI and IETE and Member of SPIE. He is also a life member of other professional societies including the BESI, OSI, ISTE, IE (India), etc. Prof. Singh had been engaged with joint R&D projects with Keio University (Japan), University of Vienna (Austria), Lviv National Polytechnic University, Lviv (Ukraine). Presently he is part of research group from MNIT Jaipur engaged for sponsored research with researchers from Cairo University (Egypt) and the Kasetsart University Bangkok, Thailand. His current research interest includes Micro and Nano-structured Photonic Devices, All optical circuits and networks, Non-linear characteristics of Photonic Crystal Fibers, Integrated Photonics, Photonics Sensors, etc.
Dr Sathish Kumar graduated from the Institution of Engineers (India) in Electronics and Communication Engineering and obtained his Master’s in Engineering specializing in Optical Communication from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University. He was awarded the PhD degree by the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal for his thesis on Performance Enhancement of Optical CDMA Networks and Hybrid Multiplexed Optical Communication Systems. He started his academic career as a lecturer in Electronics and Communication Engineering at Dr. T. M .A. Pai Polytechnic, Manipal, in the year 1992. In 1998 he joined the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of MIT, Manipal, as a lecturer. He continued till 2008 as a reader in the same department. From 2008 to 2010 he was a Research Assistant Professor in the school of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Seoul National University, South Korea. He joined back MIT, Manipal in 2010 as a Professor in the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department. Currently, he is heading the department.
Dr. Sathish Kumar was the recipient of the International Scholar Exchange Fellowship of the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies. Under this fellowship, he pursued research in Advanced Modulation formats for Optical Communication Systems at the school of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Seoul National University, South Korea, for a period of one year from 2006 to 2007. His areas of research and teaching interests include mathematical modeling and optimization of nanophotonic devices, advanced modulation formats/coded modulation for optical communication systems and general areas of digital communications with emphasis on physical layer issues. He has authored two text books, two book chapters and several research papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings.
Dr. J. Prakash is presently working as Professor and Head, department of Information Science and Engineering, Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bangalore, Karnataka. He has completed his B.E (Computer Science and Engineering) in 1988 from University of Mysore, Karnataka, M.Tech (Information Technology) from University of Indore, Madhya Pradesh in 1995 and Ph.D from Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute, University, Chennai, Tamilnadu in 2010 in the field of Digital Image Processing. Since 1988, he has been in teaching profession and has involved in various academic and research activities and has also guided several real time projects, which have been recognized both in the international and national level. He has 24 international Journal and 05 International conference publications. He has visited many countries to present his research publications. Presently he is associated with Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) as National Executive council member, New Delhi. He has more than 30 years of teaching and research experience involved with various academic and administrative activities in many Universities of India.
Dr. M B Meenavathi is presently working as Professor and Head, department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bangalore, Karnataka. She has completed her B.E (Electronics and Communication Engineering) in 1989 from University of Mysore, Karnataka, M.E (Digital Electronics and Instrumentation) from SGSITS, University of Indore, Madhya Pradesh in 1994 and Ph.D from Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute, University, Chennai, Tamilnadu in 2009 in the domain of Digital Signal and Image Processing. Since 1989, she has been in teaching and research profession. She has published her research findings in 20 international Journals. She has been invited by many countries to present her research publications. World Academy of Science Engineering and Technology (WASET) honoured her for novel Volterra based filter design for restoration of digital images. Presently she is associated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Karnataka in various academic and administrative activities. She has more than 30 years of teaching experience and occupied with various research activities in the Institute and University.
